I am hiring an experienced pencil and inker artist to complete eight pages for the first edition of a short comic. This is a PAID commission.

Artist should be experienced and adept at facial expressions, female characters, photo realism, and rich shading.

Plans are for an entire 22-32 page comic book. If this commission relationship is good, I would like to hire you to complete the entire comic book.

Good communication.  E-mails replied to promptly and professionally.

Experienced in black and white art.

Rich, detailed facial expressions.

Photo realistic.

Background Details.

Quick, timely responses to e-mails.

Reasonable adjustments that do not require a large amount of time.

If interested, PM me or e-mail samples of work and rates to

I'm looking for an artist to produce a high-rez "photo realistic" background plate to use for a HD video I am producing for my graphic novel project at

I attached a sample of what I'd like; a high perspective of looking down into a pit where a trial is taking place in a post-apocalyptic world.  A dark, murky theme.…

This is a paid project that is open to good pay for good work.  I am open to negotiating a fair price.  I will NOT be paying artists with Western Union or Green Dot.  PayPal ONLY.

Please post samples and/or e-mail me at to start the ball rolling.  I will post when the job is filled.

Thanks for your time!

- Chris

Proud father to the best 5 year old ever! Growing up, I wanted to work on the original Batman and Star Trek television shows. (Would take Lost in Space though.)

Writer and ex-filmmaker from Indianapolis who quit the indie movie industry after giving it twenty years of my life. Now I'm an aviation guy.

Hi there. Apologies I couldn't get to your forum reply in time before the thread shut, but I always love to meet a fellow screenwriter on here (even if it's a former one), so if you'd like to talk shop sometime, let me know. :)

Hey, its all good!  Thanks for getting back to me.  Sure, networking is always good in this heartbreaking industry.  That's why I have a variety of interests to keep my writing funded.  I used to make films but now focusing on my graphic novel when time allows.  My day job is an entrepreneur for my aviation charter business.

Where are you currently at with your writing? What is your favorite genre?

Thanks Snapperz!

What sort of films did you make? Do you have an IMDB?
That's a pretty cool day job. Are you a pilot then?
It's good to have so many things to fall back on. You don't think you'd ever go back to film?

I've got all my eggs in the screenwriting basket at the moment. I've been doing some ongoing contract work with a company in LA. They basically hire me whenever they need someone to write a good thriller. I've got four on the go with them right now. All spec work, so I'm eagerly awaiting for something to get the greenlight. I've had some luck with directors (I have the director of Sleeping With The Enemy attached to one of my scripts, but it's been casting FOREVER) but I'm getting to learn how slow and nuanced the whole industry is. Makes you want to put your head through a wall.

I mostly made low budget stuff. The biggest and most popular was Star Trek vs Batman, a fanfilm.  Goofy, but fun goofy!

Everything changed when I lost my Dad and had my son. It was no longer about movies, but about providing so I gave it up. I still write, mostly for my graphic novel, but movies and the entire industry are finished for me.  The closest I ever "got inside" was dating Mel Gibson's agents niece, but that didn't yield anything either. Not namedropping, but just sayin'.  ;)

But even aviation is really setup for failure too.  Investment banking, finance, all of it.  There are sharks in every industry really.  But for me its a nice balance because aviation is something fun for me.  I don't fly, I'm too chicken to get behind the wheel. LOL

What do you prefer writing mostly?  If you had your choice, what genre?  I dabble in almost everything.  But yea, "been there and done that" in LA putting my head through the wall.
